Marysville and surrounding ‘Triangle’ residents are benefiting from free learn to swim lessons for their children as part of the new VICSWIM Summer Kidz program.

“The local town pool is often the focal point for residents and children to gather on hot days, so it’s important to recognise the community building capacity of these types of facilities”, Mr Ian Swan, Aquatics & Recreation Victoria’s CEO said.
The program is being offered from Monday 11 January to Friday 15 January 2010 as part of ARV’s statewide VICSWIM Summer Kidz community aquatic education program.
“VICSWIM has been going since 1976 and is a valuable resource for ensuring children receive the skills, knowledge and aquatic education they need for their future. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide Marysville and the local residents with a free program to help in a small way to rebuild this bushfire affected community.” Mr Swan said.
