Victorian Water Safety Certificate

Available now is the Victorian Water Safety Certificate - a State Government initiative that provides a swimming and water safety skill foundation for children that will enable them to safely enjoy aquatic activities in a limited range of environments.

Who is entitled to receive the Certificate?

The Certificate reflects the level of skill recommended by the swimming and water safety industry for students exiting primary school. The certificate is aligned with Swim and Survive Level 4 so any student that achieves this level can receive the Certificate. The Certificate criteria can be used as an individual program or linked in with an existing program. The Certificate is also a great incentive for students participating in a short intensive program.

Who can assess the Certificate Criteria and how do I order Certificates for my students?

Teachers with AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia accreditation can assess students on the competency criteria of the Certificate. Orders for the certificates can then be placed through Life Saving Victoria free of charge.  Visit www.lifesavingvictoria.com.au/vwsc to place an order.

* Student names, year level and gender must be provided to order certificates.
