Elite Athlete Travel Grants Program

The Elite Athlete Travel Grants Program will provide funding of up to $2000 to assist elite Victorian athletes travel to compete at national championships or international events. The first round of funding is now open and will close on 1 February 2012.
The program was developed with the assistance of State Sporting Associations, and we will be seeking your assistance in prioritising applications received from athletes in your respective sports.

The short course, running from 15-19 April 2012, is specifically designed to bring together experienced managers, emerging managers and final year degree students in a stimulating learning environment. Limited class size.

New PPCA Tariff Agreement for Fitness Classes

Following a period of uncertainty, a new tariff and licence scheme (Tariff V1) for the use of recorded music, as part of the provision of fitness classes, has been agreed by PPCA and Fitness Australia.
The new scheme will take effect from 1 January 2012, and will be phased in over a three year period. A copy of the tariff, the phase in schedule and further detail, can be viewed at PPCA’s website - www.ppca.com.au/music-users-/fitness

STREAM 2011, the Victorian AUSTSWIM Teacher™ Professional Development day for regional Victoria was held in Sunday 23rd October. Following feedback from the industry, Summit has been replaced by two professional development opportunities: one regional and one metropolitan day. The aim is to re-focus professional development training needs that are specific to AUSTSWIM Teachers™. Read more
