ARV Services

ARV provides high level strategic advice to Councils, State Government, schools and industry bodies on current industry matters so that informed decisions can be undertaken, including:

  • planning for new or upgraded aquatic and recreation facilities
  • recreation department management and service delivery
  • community hub concept development

ARV is keen to ensure skills and knowledge are shared by those who own, operate and manage the broad range of community aquatic, leisure and recreation facilities, especially within the local government sector. 

ARV has developed relationships with a range of industry specialists covering the fields of design architecture, engineering, planning, feasibility and business case studies, quantity surveyors, project and facility managers. 

One of ARV’s key roles is to develop effective partnerships by bringing parties together to achieve a common end. 

Through a fee for service arrangement, ARV can provide steering committees or project control groups with key advice from a range of industry and peak bodies to assist clients with strategic decision making early in a project’s life to maximise community outcomes and benefits. 

ARV through its CEO has been involved in the design, construction and management of projects valued of upwards of $100mil, including high profile aquatic and leisure facilities, community hub projects and sporting and community recreation facilities.

ARV conducts state-wide tailored aquatic education and water safety programs for children, CALD communities, special population groups, local communities and schools in partnership with Government, Life Saving Victoria and key community organisations.

These programs are conducted under the successful banner of the VICSWIM brand and include:

  • VICSWIM Summer Kidz

ARV also provides professional development opportunities for those who work within the industry and pilots new programs to broaden the effective reach of community aquatic and recreation facilities.


Industry Services

ARV works closely with government and industry bodies to facilitate industry development, research opportunities and studies and conducts special projects on behalf of the industry.

ARV develops partnerships with government and key organisations such as Life Saving Victoria to deliver social marketing programs including Victoria’s effective Play it safe by the Water, Watch around Water campaigns and Water Safety Week.

ARV manages the successful Better Being health referral program in partnership with local Councils and General Practitioners.

ARV coordinates and presents:

  • Industry Forums, Seminars, Workshops
  • a key Industry Awards event and
  • leading conferences including the ARV Industry Conference, and study tours that attract national interest
