Congratulations: EMERGENT 2022 Graduates

Published Thu 24 Nov 2022

On Wednesday, November 16 2022, ARV celebrated the graduation of the 2022 EMERGENT program participants.

In February 2022, ARV announced the launch of its inaugural leadership program, EMERGENT, a dynamic professional development program for aquatics, recreation & leisure professionals designed to grow the next generation of industry leaders.

The driving force behind this program was to develop leaders from across the sector who have the passion and drive to contribute to the growth and success of the sector across Victoria, establishing a reputation for excellence. EMERGENT explored the concepts of self-awareness, awareness of others, leadership purpose, communication, navigating ambiguity, storytelling, courage, grit and mindset.

A key aspect of EMERGENT involved pairing participants with industry leaders from outside of their own organisation as mentors. This enabled the sharing of knowledge, experience and wisdom, access to a different perspective and the development of new professional relationships and networks. The generosity and openness Mentors provided immeasurable benefit to our participants, with many feeling a career-long relationship had been developed. Our Mentors also gained from these relationships, enjoying the opportunity to support emerging leaders.

ARV congratulates the 23 participants who have successfully completed the program. We look forward to continuing to involve these key leaders in Victorian Industry activities and initiatives in the future.
