Event Recap: 2023 ARV Regional Conference presented by Perfect Gym

The 2023 ARV Regional Conference presented by Perfect Gym was held between 9th – 11th May at Peppers Resort, Marysville. ARV thanks all delegates, presenters and sponsors for their role in ensuring the event was such a success.
Conference delegates were treated to an array of informative, innovative, and inspiring presentations responding to the conference theme: Building a Sustainable Future. Our presenters shared their industry experiences, knowledge, and thoughts for the future which ARV is excited to pursue in the coming weeks and months. The sustainability of our industry includes our ability to remain resilient and agile to challenges in the short and long term.
Keynote speakers, Lyndall Mitchell, Aurora Spas, Michael Voss, Carlton Football Club, and Monique Richardson, Conflict Resolution Consultant, all delivered empowering keynotes full of insightful takeaways that directly respond to current industry issues.
Both conference days contained many highlights, but a lasting highlight was the two panel sessions that closed the conference on Wednesday afternoon. Representatives from flood-affected communities generously shared their experiences in managing their facilities and teams through the devastating October 2022 Floods. The impact of this event is still being felt, and we are extraordinarily grateful to Carly Ward, Mitchell Shire, Steve Wilson, Aquamoves Shepparton, and Tim Free, Swan Hill Leisure Centre, Belgravia for their open & honest overviews of their experiences. The day ended with industry celebration stories from six industry representatives, which was uplifting and inspiring for all.
On Thursday, delegates were welcomed to Marysville Outdoor Pool, Murrundindi Shire, and Alexandra Indoor Heated Pool, managed by a Committee of Management. We thank both venues for welcoming us and for your generosity with time and knowledge shared.
Our traders in the Trade Expo provided delegates with many suppliers and service opportunities, and we look forward to hearing of future projects that have come out of this expo. Our hosts at Peppers Marysville and Murrundindi Shire supported us immensely in providing such a successful event.
