Tips for How to Promote Wellbeing Workshops at Your Workplace

If you would like to offer staff wellbeing workshops at your workplace, but are concerned about attendance, consider these tips for increasing engagement:

1. Communicate the benefits: Share information about the benefits of workplace wellbeing initiatives, such as improved employee engagement and productivity, and reduced absenteeism and turnover, with employees and management. 2. Make the workshops accessible: Make sure that the workshops are available to all employees, regardless of their role or department, and that they are held at a convenient time for all attendees.

3. Get the management on board: Secure the support of management to promote the workshops and encourage employee participation. Have a meeting with management beforehand to overview what the workshop will cover, and how it is expected to benefit staff.  Ask management if there are any concerns that they would like to see addressed in the workshop.

4. Use different methods of communication: Use a variety of communication methods, such as email, bulletin boards, social media, and company newsletters, to promote the workshops.

5. Engage employees in the planning: Encourage employee participation in the planning and execution of the workshops to increase engagement and buy-in.

6. Use testimonials: Share testimonials from employees who have participated in the workshops to demonstrate the positive impact they can have.

7. Offer incentives: Consider offering incentives, such as time off or gift cards, to employees who attend the workshops.

8. Make it ongoing: Make workplace wellbeing workshops a regular part of the company culture and schedule them regularly (e.g., "Wellness Wednesdays" or a regular monthly toolbox talk).

9. Follow up: Follow up with employees who have attended the workshops to gauge the impact they had on their wellbeing and make adjustments as necessary.

10. Partner with external organisations (like ARV!): Partner with external organisations that specialize in workplace wellbeing to provide workshops and training for employees.
